There is beauty in the moment, in the small second where we find ourselves immersed in a totally familiar landscape, but which still seems unrecognizable. You don’t stop, you keep on the same path, day after day, in constant movement and agitation, aware that there is much to see and capture. The camera carries a weight in your hand, invites you to stop and find time to awaken your senses, aim, shoot, hear the click and the roll rolling. The second counts, it’s important, it’s spontaneous, the moment stops and so do you. Tell me because after all you didn’t stop, you keep moving, you keep on traveling.
Photography no longer counts only on zoom, focus, capture time, shutter and ISO, it tells us about the instant, the intuitive.
However, the pressure of the finger on the button, transforms and reveals itself later, in the laboratory. Photography takes on a new timeless dimension, with this ritual, with this laboratory experience. Everything we see and perceive is exposed like this. The details, the perfections and imperfections of nature and of what we create and work with are printed on this support, waiting to be reviewed by someone else’s eyes, without waiting for time and space.

(...) is about spontaneity: the choreography of synchronizing an impulsive emotional or cerebral response that may transpire over the course of milliseconds with making a photographic exposure.
(...) so often about not knowing what a good photograph will look like, yet trusting the desire and impulse to pick up the camera, frame the scene, and rely upon intuition to recognize the moment where form and content are at an apex.
